Regardless of what machine and operating system you are using, all websites can log your IP address and identify you and your location. This information can be used against you by hackers or other parties with malicious intend, but you can prevent this from happening if you hide your IP address. With Private Tunnel, you can redirect your Internet traffic through a virtual private network (VPN). As a result, websites and other services will log a different IP instead of your own, so your identity will remain safe. You can use this application on a Mac, a Windows-powered computer and on Android or iOS devices.

Before using Private Tunnel, you have to create an online account, but it should not take more than a minute. Connecting to a VPN is very easy. All you have to do is type in your login credentials, choose a network and click a button, on a compact user interface. Once you click the Connect button, the application will tunnel your traffic through the selected VPN in just a few seconds. Private Tunnel places multiple VPNs at your disposal, from various countries. What's more, you may connect to a different network at any time, without any effort.

As previously stated, any website you visit will log a different IP address instead of your own. Besides shielding your identity, this is also a good way to bypass region or country-related restrictions. You can enjoy other advantages as well, like secure communications or protection against malicious attacks. While you are connected to a VPN, you may click an icon, on the menu bar, to reveal a series of statistics, like the amount of available and used data, the connection's status and others.

Pros

The application is capable of redirecting your Internet traffic through a VPN. This will prevent websites or other services from logging your real IP address. Private Tunnel allows you to connect to various VPNs, from different countries.

Cons

You can use a maximum of 100 MB of Internet traffic, after which you have to buy more. While using Private Tunnel, you can visit any website you want, without leaving any traces of your identity behind.
